TUESDAY 27th SEPTEMBER – The actual 197th Anniversary – Walk Witton Colliery via Phoenix Row and Etherley to West Auckland and the Station Master’s House (To be led by Members of Etherley incline & Witton Park Group and WASH).
Our annual AGM will be held at the Welcome building (former Sunday School) at Locomotion from 10.30am - 4.30pm. This will include speakers on the Shildon Coal Drops, progress towards 2025, Edward Pease's House in Darlington and the film The Laying of the First Rail. At 12:12pm on the 27th September there will be a celebratory garden party at Station House, Station Road, St Helen Auckland, Bishop Auckland, County Durham, DL14 9EX with a short walk along the line to Hummerbeck bridge.
